Description
Brief business letter referring to H&S letter of 17 September 1901. Watt requests return of the agency's copy of the formal agreement between H&S and Crockett regarding Grey Galloway so that he can make an alteration H&S has indicated. The final clause of the letter (specifying the alteration) is struck through in the copy, leaving the nature of the amendment unrecorded. Handwritten annotations note that the document was sent from Watt's office on 2 October 1901 and that the copy 'appears' returned by October 1902. This letter provides early evidence of a proposed contract revision, preceding the February 1902 revised agreement.
