Description
Watt informs H&S that Crockett consents to H&S retitling his new Galloway book "RAIDERLAND". Also confirms Crockett's acceptance of H&S's proposal to pay a royalty of 3d. per copy on the Colonial edition. Postscript notes that Crockett is sending proofs direct to Messrs. Vallentyne in Edinburgh, as done on previous occasions. A handwritten acknowledgement at foot (H&S hand) reads "We thank you for your letter, and note Mr Crockett's agreement". Significant as the first confirmed documentary evidence of the title Raiderland.
